With over 30 years of service to families in grief, Scott A. Ruby is what one would call, a seasoned funeral professional.

Proudly maintaining unblemished licensure as a professional funeral director, Scott graduated from the Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science.

After graduation, he passed both the state and national board licensing examinations. The now, General Manager and Senior Funeral Director, furthered his knowledge of funeral service through continuing education programmes.

Scott also attained certification as a grief counsellor. He completed his studies through the Accord Family Service Program, The Center for Loss and Transition. He acquired his second degree from Dignity University.

Scott believes education, certification and experience are all crucial and are “great things to have under one’s belt.” However, he also posits that without a genuine desire to help people in their time of loss, they lose their value.
