Scott A. Ruby, General Manager and Senior Funeral Director

Scott is a seasoned funeral professional with over 20 years of service to families in grief. Proudly maintaining unblemished licensure as a professional funeral director, Scott graduated From the Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science. After graduation, he passed both state and national board licensing examinations, and continues to further his knowledge of funeral service and grief counseling through continuing educational programmes.

Grief being such an important component in funeral service, Scott furthered his education by passing the curriculum required to become a certified grief counselor. He completed his study through the Accord Family Service Program, The Center for Loss and Transition, and received a second degree from Dignity University.

"Education, certification, and experience are great things to have under one's belt", says Ruby, "However, without a genuine desire to help people in their time of loss, all those things stand for nothing. I have, do, and always will maintain the pledge that all people regardless of financial situation, creed or color, deserve and will receive a proper funeral service, as long as I am a funeral director. I am not in the habit of saying 'no' to the families I serve." "I will go out of my way to make sure the funeral service I provide will be to the best of my ability, and that my service exceeds my client's family's expectations. Put in the simplest way possible, I am here to serve the people of the Cayman Islands."
